After her daughter´s husband died of Leucemia at young age , Gisella Du Meé created a private iniciative Art@Hospital together with her friends Diana Eloff and me.

 

The idea was to collect original works of art and donate them to hospitals, to bring colors and messages of love into those long hallways, waiting- and hospital rooms.

 

Our first project was in the Fleming Cancer Institute. We got in touch with all our artist friends, who inmediatly donated works of art and we personally hung up each one of those paintings with much love and care to give them all the perfect spot in the hospitals.

 

This was only the beginning of many, many more hospitals to follow.

In the meantime our team got bigger, as were joined by wonderful Mechi Abella, who is now living in The Netherlands and is coordinating our latest initiative at the Princess Maxima Center of Pediatric Oncology in Utrecht. 

 

We are touched by the inmense genorosity and love received from so many artists in Argentina and all over the world. Without them this initiative would not be possible.
